We are a financial technology company developing a platform focused on innovating the transaction processes for complex financing transactions. Our platform will revolutionize capital raising and trading to create new value in the financial ecosystem.
We are currently operating in stealth mode, discussing collaborative partnerships with major financial institutions, companies and others in the finance ecosystem. We have secured investments from major financial technology investors, including a global financial institution and are commencing a beta launch of our platform with a few global financial institutions and companies.
Role Description
You will be collaborating with our head of front-end engineering, CEO and designers to develop and implement innovative, dynamic, interactive interfaces, features and frameworks in which to show deconstructed, digital data from complex finance documents. We are looking to push the boundaries on how sophisticated professionals in the investment banking ecosystem review, analyze and calibrate data and documents. In addition, the role also includes the following responsibilities:
● Development of reusable code and libraries for future use
● Ensuring the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
● Optimizing application for maximum speed and scalability
Skills, Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years’ experience in a startup environment or a design/creative team from a business/commercial environment. In particular, the candidate will have:
● Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3
● Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
● Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks
● Experience with Vue / Vuex
● Experience with asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
● Knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image. Familiarity with tools such as as Gimp or Photoshop is a plus.
● Experience with cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
● Experience with code versioning tools, such as Git, Github, Bitbucket
● D3.js experience is a plus
● Experience working with common project management tools and Agile development workflow
The role is not remote and will need to be based in Manhattan, New York or Austin, Texas.
Salary: $100-135k
