Born in Hell's Kitchen in the heart of New York City, I've always had writing in my blood. Perhaps that's because at the tender age of nine my sister stabbed me with a pencil and I've never been able to get the lead out. Or, maybe writing is in my genes since my father wrote for a newspaper, a magazine, a Vice President of the United States and was even a successful copywriter at BBDO.
Whatever the reason, I've been writing ever since I can recall and have no intention of stopping anytime soon. I've worked on a wide range of accounts, from Major League Baseball to major banks. From soft drinks to hard liquor. From airlines to air freshener.
The industry has changed quite a bit since I wrote my first ad, but I've evolved along with it. I've always truly believed that if one can create a memorable headline or TV spot, they can certainly develop an attention-getting banner or rock solid digital concept. In any medium, social or otherwise, it always has and always will come down to the BIG idea. This 50something can certainly go 360, and will continue to keep up with the trends and perhaps even set a few before it's all said and done.
